Part of the Tower Theatre Company's celebration of Alan Ayckbourn's 80th year, a packed house enjoyed a semi-staged reading of this darkly comic play.

Audience reaction was universally enthusiastic :

  • Such imaginative staging. - A.F.
  • It was fantastic. Totally absorbing and very funny. - D.I.
  • Fantastic show. Brilliant performances all round. - J.S.
  • I absolutely loved it ... forgot they were reading. Really, really good. - S.V.
  • We enjoyed it so much. Incredible what was accomplished in four days. - T.T.
  • Not so much a rehearsed reading as a semi-staged performance. After a while I didn't even notice the books were there as the story swept us along. Very well cast. - J.C.
  • It was excellent. Great direction and a great cast. Very, very well done all! - J.T.
