The City Academy Writing and Acting departments are proud to present a collaborative showcase of new writing.

Sunday 27th October at 7.30

Sixteen actors will perform six brand new plays exploring class, greed, family ties, generational trauma, and the end of the world as we know it. The new writing line up includes Inheritance by Savanna Wicks, Loving Tommy by Nicholas Bulmer, The Bill by Niall Ransome, The Job is F*cked by Kerry Keenan-Lynch, The Job Offer by Antonia Goddard and The Three Horsemen by Paul Batterham,

A showcase of new acting talent from City Academy

The City Academy Actors’ Studio are proud to present their second showcase of the year. A selection of scenes from revered playwrights takes you into a world of dark relationships, past transgressions, oppressive autocratic regimes and corrupt class systems. They will present scenes from Breathing Corpses by Laura Wade, Downstate by Bruce Norris, The Fastest Clock in the Universe by Philip Ridley, Posh by Laura Wade, The Blue Room by David Hare, Lemons by Sam Steiner, Blackbird by David Harrower, and Monster by Duncan Macmillan.

A modern quest for romance follows the story of Jack who embarks on a long journey to find "The one". However, the pressures of modern society bring challenges on the way. In a world of apps, speed dating and social media, is finding what we really need easier or a far fetched mission? This brand new contemporary musical will leave you questioning what really makes us feel fulfilled in life.
