Auditions and Production Vacancies

To become an acting member and audition for our shows you will first need to join as a Friend of the Tower Theatre. Then you will need to pass a Company Audition, which consists of performing two short contrasting pieces of your own choice. Company Auditions are held roughly every four weeks, normally on a Sunday : forthcoming dates are 1st December, 5th January and 2nd February. For further details and to book a place contact our auditions co-ordinator, Peter Westbury.

Front of House

Want to see our shows for free? The company is recruiting for Front of House staff for all shows including stewards and Front of House Managers. These are crucial roles as the show cannot take place without adequate Front of House cover for each performance.

Steward duties include selling programmes, being aware of fire evacuation procedures and generally being available to assist the Front of House Manager. Stewards may sit in to see the show on the evening (or matinee) they perform these duties. Although the Front of House Manager may not sit in when on duty, they are provided with a ticket to see the show at any other performance.

We are really keen to recruit new volunteers for these roles and it is a good opportunity to help the company for one evening and get to know some other members, with the added benefit of a complementary ticket to one of our first class shows. Any training necessary will be provided.

If you would be interested in joining the team of people who do this, please get in touch with Jude Chalk.
